Medina Swimwear launches its second collection. Medina Swimear SS 2020 collection is both sustainable and beautiful. All swimsuits are made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon and a percentage of sales will go to protecting the Posidonia Oceanica seagrass species.
Posidonia Oceanica is an endangered seagrass species found in the Mediterranean Sea. It is a plant which contains both flowers and fruit, making its seagrass meadows vital to the underwater ecosystem. Posidonia oceanica provides a place for thousands of species to live, feed, and breed.
Not only does the seagrass provide a home for species as well as promote marine growth it also slows down the oceans swell. This reduces beach erosion and aids in the production of oxygen.
The collection developed throughout the focus in the experimentation of its own crinkle hand made elaboration on the actual main fabric of the brand: the Vita from Carvico, made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon.
This season Medina Swimwear gives you to opportunity to wear a new way of mixing textures and bright colors. Following its minimal style and attention to detail Medina Swimwear emphasizes femininity, and carryies on with its high-end custom made buckles. Medina Swimwear presents a new one-piece cut out and high waisted handmade crinkle-stretch styles. Continuing with the brand profile of pastel pallets, this summer Medina swimwear adds solid and neon colors like green and orange.
Medina Swimwear will donate a percentage of this season sales to Save Posidonia Project, that together with Greenpeace, Oceana and WWF are trying to preserve the Posidonia Oceanica.
