MEDINA IS DRIVEN BY A MISSION TO ENGAGE IN ETHICAL AND SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES. EVERY BUSINESS DECISION WE MAKE IS CONSIDERED AND EVALUATED FROM AN ENVIRONMENTAL PERSPECTIVE.
MEDINA’s sustainability ethos is based on three core principles: Conscious Making, Circular Material, and a Clean Ocean Tax.
CONSCIOUS MAKING
We fully embrace the concept of less but better. Our intention is to create swimwear that lasts a lifetime. Its timeless design, exceptional quality, and advanced craftsmanship ensures that it will endure through endless use and seasons.
Our production process is designed to have minimal environmental impact as we work on-site with carefully sourced local suppliers who share our eco-friendly approach.
CIRCULAR MATERIAL
Our custom rubber-coated metal accessories are produced in a factory entirely run on photovoltaic energy.
We produce our own terry binding made from recycled organic cotton.
Our high-performance fabrics are manufactured in Italy using ECONYL®, an innovative nylon yarn that is made from recovered fishnets and other nylon waste. It is infinitely recyclable, which eliminates the use of new resources, creating a close loop cycle of regenerated fibres.
DIRT FOUNDATION FOR CORE COLLECTION
Every MEDINA customer gives back to the earth by contributing to our Ocean Tax, a 3% donation to non-profit organizations that protect and rehabilitate the sea. The amount of each customer’s Ocean Tax and the projects that it supports are specified on their invoice and taken from our sales profit. Who are we supporting with this Ocean Tax?
DIRT regenerates soil through supporting the biodynamic farming movement. Regenerating soil is one of the most important actions to be taken in the face of climate change.
3% from every purchase from the MEDINA Core Collection will go to DIRT.
